Our Process
Step 1. Tell us a little bit about your project
Provide information on you, the company doing the work and the type of work. Think of it as if you were explaining it to the building department. Be descriptive and concise.
STEP 2. Submit deposit to get started
While true that we love what we do, nothing keeps us coming back for more than knowing someone finds value in what we do and is willing to pay for it.
STEP 3. We may reach out for a follow-up
Someone in the planning, zoning or building department is going to want something they didn’t want previously. We work with you to get what is needed and go forward.
STEP 4. Plan reviews and common fees
When plans are involved it often means one or more local government entities have to approve in order to advance. Sometimes there are fees which we invoice dollar-for-dollar. Make the payment quickly to keep your project moving forward.
STEP 5. Invoice for the final permit cost
We bill for the actual fees that a municipality requires to issue a permit plus 3% for invoices paid by credit card.
STEP 6. Print permit card and post it onsite
For most, a copy of the permit is available online to view or print. We also email a copy for your records. Sometimes, however, they may require someone from your company to pick it up. Walk-in, walk-out.
